SF Engineering Sponsored Rally Car with Employee Connection Performs Well at the Galway International Rally
An SF Engineering sponsored rally car finished 5th in its class at the Galway International Rally last weekend. The car’s driver was Gunnar Johannesson, son of SF Engineering’s Operations Director, Johannes Gunnarsson.
Gunnar, from Iceland, partnered with co-driver Martin Brady for the first time in the 2023 edition of the oldest international rally event in Ireland. As well as placing 5th in their class, Gunnar and Martin finished 52nd overall.
Seamus Farrell, SF Engineering Managing Director, said: “Last weekend was Gunnar’s first time driving the car under rallying conditions, let alone driving it at an international rally. Given that, finishing 5th in the Citroen C2R2 Max class is a fantastic achievement and I wish him all the best for his upcoming events.”
Gunnar said: “I would like to extend my gratitude to the SF team. Thank you all for your support.”
