Video: Premium Retail Dates Packing Line
Dates are sticky products, adding complexity to any packing line. This video (filmed during pre-delivery testing in our facility) showcases the solution we developed for one of our customers. It is a high-speed packing line that is suitable for dates and that offers maximum automation and no product giveaway.
The line includes a feed system with an elevated conveyor to take the dates to a high-level vibrator that then meters the dates into a multihead weigher. The multihead weigher and its components were specified by our equipment partner Ishida to ensure suitability for the handling of dates, which are sticky by nature.
The product then goes into an SF Engineering-designed distribution system that presents the product at high speed to trays. A takeaway conveyor then takes the trays to a carton closing system.
